Highlighted Antibody - CD117 Clone BSR24

CD117 is important in the classification of mesenchymal tumors of the gastrointestinal tract, with CD117 antibody used especially for the classification of GIST tumors and germinal cell tumors: Seminoma/dysgerminoma are CD117 positive in the majority of cases, while embryonal carcinoma is CD117 negative in the majority of cases and with a weaker reaction.

Optimisation of CD117 staining is vital to avoid both false positives and false negatives and the easy optimisation of our CD117 makes a major difference in ensuring the staining is correct.

KEY ADVANTAGES OF CLONE BSR24 (CD117 ANTIBODY):

• Excellent signal to noise ratio.

• Less prone to staining desmoid tumours, which should be negative because BSR24 does not stain smooth muscle cells.

• This antibody truly provides optimal staining and as with all our antibodies we provide a 100% guarantee, so trying it really is risk free.

Optibodies™ are mouse and rabbit monoclonal antibodies that have been developed specifically for use in immunohistochemistry to have high affinity and high specificity to their target antigens, give a high signal to noise ratio and can be used to achieve an intensive and specific staining.
