The NEXTflex-96 RNA-Seq Barcodes are adapters that were designed for use with the NEXTflex RNA-Seq Kit and the NEXTflex Directional RNA-Seq Kit (dUTP-Based).
The NEXTflex-96 RNA-Seq Barcodes can be used to provide flexibility and high-throughput capabilities in sequencing applications. They significantly increase scale while reducing costs by allowing the user to pool multiple library preparations in a single flow cell lane. The NEXTflex-96 RNA-Seq Barcodes kits accomplish this by using an indexed adapter with an 8 nt unique sequence. This allows for proper differentiation between samples, preventing poor reads from single base errors introduced during PCR. The NEXTflex index is contained within the adapter sequence eliminating the need to perform PCR to add flow cell binding sequences. The NEXTflex-96 RNA-Seq Barcode kits are supplied in either a 96-well format (cat# 512915) or in microfuge tubes (cat# 512016).
Do you want to index you samples but dont want to use 96 different barcodes? We also offer the NEXTflex RNA-Seq Barcodes in sets of 6, 12, 24 and 48 barcodes.

Several approaches have been used to remove ribosomal RNA (rRNA) from total RNA samples intended for use to produce libraries for NGS RNA-Seq experiments. Removal of rRNA avoids the waste of reagents and bioinformatic resources to sequence and align the ~85% of total RNA comprised of rRNA, which is generally not a target of interest in NGS sequencing experiments.
The NEXTFLEX® Poly(A) Beads 2.0 offer improved mRNA yields, lower rRNA contamination, and a more simplified protocol, verified from 10 ng - 5 µg of total RNA for a convenient method for the purification of pure, intact mRNA upstream of RNA-Seq library prep.
Poly(A)-tailed mRNA is isolated via magnetic beads conjugated to oligo(dT), and separation using a magnetic stand allows for high mRNA recovery. The intact mRNA is eluted in small volumes eliminating the need for precipitation. These beads have been validated with the new and improved NEXTFLEX® Rapid Directional RNA-Seq Kit 2.0.
The NEXTFLEX® Poly(A) beads 2.0 are an easy and cost-effective method for removing rRNA in RNA-Seq libraries. This product takes advantage of the tract of adenosine residues present at the 3 ends of the vast majority of protein-coding mRNAs. Hybridization of these poly(A) tails to tracts of complementary thymidines (oligo dT) immobilized on solid supports allows the retrieval of poly(A)+ RNAs by recovering the solid support along with the hybridized RNA complexes.
The NEXTFLEX® Poly(A) Beads 2.0 contains enough material to extract mRNA from 8, 48 or 96 total RNA samples for subsequent RNA-seq library prep or other applications. The shelf life of all reagents is 12 months when stored properly. All components can safely be stored at 4°C.
These beads have been validated with the following kits: NEXTflex Directional RNA-Seq Kit NEXTflex Directional RNA-Seq Kit 2.0

Using the NEXTflex RNA-Seq library prep protocol, mRNA or rRNA depleted RNA is fragmented using a cationic buffer. Fragmented RNA undergoes first and second strand synthesis, followed by end-repair, adenylation, ligation and PCR.
This kit incorporates the NEXTflex Rapid Reverse Transcriptase, a robust, thermostable RT that outperforms any other RT on the market for NGS applications.
MULTIPLEXING This kit was designed to be used in conjunction with the NEXTflex RNA-Seq or NEXTflex-96 RNA-Seq Barcodes for multiplexing. The availability of up to 96 unique adapter barcodes makes this the most high-throughput kit available for RNA-Seq.
BENEFITS:- >>> Faster than traditional RNA-seq protocols >>> Enhanced Adapter Ligation Technology offers a larger number of unique sequencing reads >>> Input - 10 - 100 ng of mRNA or rRNA depleted total RNA >>> Up to 96 barcodes available for multiplexing contain embedded index sequence >>> Automation-friendly workflow is compatible with liquid handlers >>> Functionally validated with Illumina sequencing platforms
