AuroFlow Beta-lactam Strip Test is a qualitative and rapid lateral flow assay designed to detect beta-lactam antibiotic residues in raw commingled cows milk. This state-of-the-art test uses a novel beta-lactam binding protein which eliminates the need for a heating block. Because it does not require any equipment, this kit is ideal for use in the field or dairy farm.
The AuroFlow Beta-lactam Strip test has the capacity for 96 (Cat # 1067-01) or 192 (Cat # 1067-02) determinations. The shelf life is 12 months when the kit is properly stored.
The positive and negative control vials contain lyophilized raw milk samples, and must be reconstituted with 1 mL of distilled water before use. The reconstituted raw milk controls are stable for 1 week at 4°C. Additional positive and negative control vials are available separately (Cat No 106710).
[FEATURES:] Rapid strip test method 7 minutes. High sensitivity Novel binding protein that requires no heating step High reproducibility.

Product Type:
Food safety - Drug residues - Test Strip
Storage Temp:
Store the kit at 2-8°C.
Additional Info:
The assay uses a competitive colloidal gold based format. The milk sample (200 uL) is added to a clear plastic reaction vessel/microtiter well, and used to resuspend the dried reagents contained in the well to make a uniform pink color. The milk is then incubated briefly (3 min) to allow the beta-lactam binding protein on the gold particles to engage with any beta-lactam antibiotic present in the milk. The test strip is then inserted into the sample well with the arrows pointing downward initiating capillary flow up the strip. Any gold particles that are not complexed with antibiotics present in the milk will bind to the beta-lactam antibiotic imprinted at the Test line (T-line), forming a signal (red line) at that position. If the beta-lactam binding protein on the gold particle has engaged with antibiotic present in the milk sample, the gold particle will flow past the T-line and reach the Control line (C-line). For visual interpretation of the test results, if the T-line signal intensity is stronger than the signal intensity of the C-line, this indicates a negative result. Signal at the T-line which is equal or less intense compared to the C-line indicated the presence of beta-lactam antibiotics in the milk. The greater the reduction in signal intensity at the T-line, the greater the concentration of beta-lactam antibiotics present in the milk.

AuroFlow BT Combo Strip Test is a qualitative and rapid lateral flow assay designed to detect both beta-lactam and tetracycline antibiotic residues in raw commingled cows milk. This test uses a tetracycline receptor and a novel beta-lactam binding protein which eliminates the need for a heating block. Because it does not require any equipment, this kit is ideal for use in the field or dairy farm.
The AuroFlow BT Combo Strip Test Kit has the capacity for 96 (Cat # 1087-01) or 192 (Cat # 1087-02) determinations. The shelf life is 12 months when the kit is properly stored.
The positive and negative control vials contain lyophilized raw milk samples, and must be reconstituted with 1 mL of distilled water before use. The positive control vial is spiked with 4ppb Penicillin G and 100 ppb of Oxytetracycline. The reconstituted raw milk controls are stable for 48 hours at 4°C. Additional positive and negative control vials are available separately (Cat # 108710).
[FEATURES:] Rapid strip test method 7 minutes. High sensitivity Easy strip-well dipstick format There is no required heating step, thus eliminating the need to purchase an expensive heating block High reproducibility.

Additional Info:
The assay uses a competitive colloidal gold based format. The milk sample (200 uL) is added to a clear plastic reaction vessel, and used to resuspend the lyophilized reagents to a uniform pink color in the bottom of the microtiter wells. The milk is incubated briefly (3 min) to allow the both antibiotic binding proteins on the gold particles to engage with any antibiotic present in the milk. The test strip is then inserted into the sample well with the arrows pointing downward initiating capillary flow up the strip. Any gold particles that are not complexed with antibiotics present in the milk will bind to their respective test line, forming a signal (red line) at that position. Each test strip is imprinted with two test lines and one Control line (C-line). One test line allows for the detection of tetracyclines, and the other for the detection of beta-lactam antibiotics. If the binding protein on the gold particle has engaged with either a tetracycline or a beta-lactam antibiotic present in the milk sample, the gold particle will flow past the test line corresponding to that antibiotic and reach the C-line. For visual interpretation of the test results, any test line signal intensity that is stronger than the signal at the C-line indicates a negative result. Signal at any test line which is equal or less intense compared to the C-line indicates the presence of the corresponding antibiotic in the milk. The greater the reduction in signal intensity at the test line, the greater the concentration of tetracycline or beta-lactam antibiotics present in the milk. The assay is also designed to simultaneously detect tetracycline and beta-lactam antibiotics.

The AuroFlow PR1ME Beta-lactam MRL Assay is a qualitative and rapid lateral flow assay designed for the detection of a broad range of antibiotics in raw, commingled cow's milk. The PR1ME rapid tests detect 14 beta-lactam antibiotics in milk at or below EU and CODEX Maximum Residue Limits (MRL) in an ILVO-validated one-step process. The fast, simplified protocol can be seen in the next tab. Results of the test can be interpreted visually. Beta-lactam line signal intensity that is equal to or stronger than the signal at the C-line indicates a negative result. Signal at the Beta-lactam line which is less intense compared to the C-line indicates a positive result. Beta-lactam antibiotics are a class of broad-spectrum antibiotics, consisting of all antibiotic agents that contain a beta-lactam ring in their molecular structures. This includes penicillin derivatives (penams), cephalosporins (cephems), monobactams, and carbapenems. Most beta-lactam antibiotics work by inhibiting cell wall biosynthesis in the bacterial organism, and they are the most widely used group of antibiotics. This kit is manufactured to the international quality standard ISO 9001:2008.

The AuroFlow PR1ME BT Combo MRL Assay is a qualitative and rapid lateral flow assay designed for the detection of a broad range of antibiotics in raw, commingled cow's milk. These rapid tests detect 17 beta-lactams plus metabolites and 3 tetracyclines below EU MRL requirements in a one-step process. The fast, simplified protocol can be seen in the next tab. Results of the test can be interpreted visually. If any test line on the strip is less intense than the control line, the sample is positive for that antibiotic. This includes penicillin derivatives (penams), cephalosporins (cephems), monobactams, and carbapenems. Most beta-lactam antibiotics work by inhibiting cell wall biosynthesis in the bacterial organism, and they are the most widely used group of antibiotics. Tetracycline is also a broad spectrum antibiotic frequently employed in dairy cow production. This kit is manufactured to the international quality standard ISO 9001:2008.
